Polario is operated by Challenger Corporation USA, S.A. ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

Account information: When you sign in via Google, we receive your name and email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). This is used solely to identify your account and manage your credit balance.

Images: Images you upload are processed temporarily on our servers. We do not retain, review, train on, or share your images. See "Data retention" below for specific deletion timelines.

Purchase data: If you purchase credits or subscriptions, payment is processed by Apple (iOS), Google (Android), or Paddle (web). We receive a transaction confirmation and product identifier. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Usage metadata: We store job records (status, timestamps, error codes) to maintain your account and troubleshoot issues. We log content moderation events (violation type and timestamp only, not the image) to enforce our terms.

2. How we use your data

• Your email identifies your account and credit balance
• Images are sent to our AI processing provider (Replicate) solely for image editing and content safety scanning
• Moderation logs are used to enforce our content policy and prevent abuse
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes

3. Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Polario. Each processes only the minimum data required:

• Clerk — authentication (Google sign-in). Processes: email, name.
• Convex — database and temporary file storage. Processes: account data, images (temporarily).
• Replicate — AI image processing. Processes: images (temporarily, for processing only).
• Paddle — web payment processing. Processes: payment details (web purchases only).
• Apple / Google — in-app purchase processing (mobile only).

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not control their data practices beyond our contractual agreements with them.

4. Data retention

• Account data (email, name, credit balance): retained while your account is active
• Input images: deleted from our servers immediately after processing completes
• Output images: automatically deleted within 1 hour of creation
• Job metadata (status, timestamps): retained for account history
• Moderation logs: retained for abuse prevention

5. Data security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS). Images are stored in encrypted cloud storage during the brief processing window. We do not store images longer than necessary to complete your request.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

7. Children's privacy

Polario is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

You may request:

• Access to the personal data we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion of your account and all associated data

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
